eSIM Brazil: what you get
- Networks
- Claro 5G, TIM 5G, Vivo 5G
- Speed
- Up to 5G where the network has it, 4G elsewhere
- Where your traffic comes out
- Brazil. Websites see a local address, the same as on a local SIM.
- After the daily allowance
- A Daily Unlimited pass slows to 512 Kbps or 1 Mbps until the next day. It is never cut off. How daily passes work
- Top-ups
- Add data to the same eSIM later, with no new QR code. A Daily Unlimited pass is bought for its full number of days and cannot be extended.
- Buying ahead
- Install any time within 180 days of purchase. For most plans the days start counting on the first connection at the destination, not at checkout.
- Calls and SMS
- Data only, with no phone number. Call over a messenger; a service that verifies you by SMS cannot reach this eSIM.
Brazil: the CPF question, answered by not asking it
Everything in Brazil asks for a CPF, the taxpayer number, and a prepaid SIM is the first place a visitor meets it. The operators do have routes for a passport — Claro in its own stores, TIM through a phone menu in Portuguese, Vivo with a tourist eSIM — but a chip bought at a newsstand usually cannot be activated without the number. A roaming eSIM is not a Brazilian line, and nobody asks.
The CPF follows you into the apps: food delivery, online ticket sales, some Wi-Fi sign-in pages and Pix payments want one, and no SIM of any kind changes that. Uber works with the account and the card you already have. This eSIM's traffic comes out in Brazil itself (the table above confirms it), so websites and apps treat you as a local connection.
Brazil is the size of a continent, and the coverage is where the people are: the cities and the coast. In the Amazon beyond Manaus, in the Pantanal, across the dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses, on the trails of Chapada Diamantina and along the long highways of the interior, expect hours without a signal. Download maps and tickets before you leave town. The eSIM carries data only, with no Brazilian number.
Which plan for which trip
Messengers and maps are light. Video, calls and a laptop on a hotspot are what use data up.
How to install it
- 01
Check your phone
It has to take an eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. Does your phone support eSIM?
- 02
Scan the QR code
After payment the QR code is on your order page. Scan it in the phone's settings — at home, over Wi-Fi.
- 03
Switch it on when you land
Turn on data roaming for the esimker line. It finds the network by itself.

Frequently asked questions
› Do I need a CPF to use this eSIM?
No. A CPF is asked for a Brazilian SIM. A roaming eSIM is installed from a QR code and needs no Brazilian document.
› Is there signal in the Amazon and the Pantanal?
In Manaus and the gateway towns, yes. On the rivers, at jungle lodges and deep in the Pantanal there is usually none.
› Does it give me a Brazilian phone number?
No, it carries data only. For calls and messages use WhatsApp, which is what Brazil itself uses.
