Daily Unlimited
A fresh high-speed allowance every 24 hours — you choose how many days. How daily passes work
eSIM Egypt: what you get
- Networks
- Etisalat 5G, Orange 5G, Vodafone 5G
- Speed
- Up to 5G where the network has it, 4G elsewhere
- Where your traffic comes out
- United Kingdom. Websites see you there, not in the country you are visiting; streaming catalogues and apps that check your location go by that address.
- After the daily allowance
- A Daily Unlimited pass slows to 384 Kbps, 500 Kbps, 512 Kbps, or 1 Mbps until the next day. It is never cut off. How daily passes work
- Top-ups
- Add data to the same eSIM later, with no new QR code. A Daily Unlimited pass is bought for its full number of days and cannot be extended.
- Buying ahead
- Install any time within 180 days of purchase. For most plans the days start counting on the first connection at the destination, not at checkout.
- Calls and SMS
- Data only, with no phone number. Call over a messenger; a service that verifies you by SMS cannot reach this eSIM.
Egypt: two rules a roaming eSIM does not fall under
Since 2025 Egypt registers imported phones. A handset used with an Egyptian SIM gets a 90-day grace period, after which it has to be registered and duty paid or it stops working on local networks. Phones on international roaming are outside the scheme altogether — the regulator says so in as many words — and a roaming eSIM is international roaming. Nothing to register, however long you stay.
The second rule is about calls. Egyptian networks have long restricted internet calling: WhatsApp and FaceTime calls on a local SIM tend to fail or stutter while messages go through, and an announced lifting of the restriction had not happened by mid-2025. A roaming eSIM's traffic leaves through another country (the table above says which), so it is not subject to that filtering and calls generally work.
A local SIM at Cairo airport needs your passport and costs roughly 350–550 Egyptian pounds for a month of data. Coverage is good in Cairo, along the Nile between Luxor and Aswan and in the Red Sea resorts; it weakens in the Sinai interior, in the Western Desert and on stretches of a Nile cruise. The eSIM carries data only, with no Egyptian number.
Which plan for which trip
Messengers and maps are light. Video, calls and a laptop on a hotspot are what use data up.
How to install it
- 01
Check your phone
It has to take an eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. Does your phone support eSIM?
- 02
Scan the QR code
After payment the QR code is on your order page. Scan it in the phone's settings — at home, over Wi-Fi.
- 03
Switch it on when you land
Turn on data roaming for the esimker line. It finds the network by itself.

Frequently asked questions
› Do I have to register my phone in Egypt?
Not with this eSIM. Registration applies to phones on an Egyptian SIM after 90 days; phones on roaming are exempt.
› Do WhatsApp calls work in Egypt?
On this eSIM, generally yes. On a local SIM they are often blocked or unreliable.
› Is there signal on a Nile cruise or in the desert?
Along the river near the towns, yes. Between them, and on desert excursions, expect gaps.
