eSIM Europe (33 countries): what you get

Networks
38 networks in 33 countries and regions — listed below
Speed
Up to 5G where the network has it, 4G elsewhere
Where your traffic comes out
United States. Websites see that address in every country of the plan.
After the daily allowance
A Daily Unlimited pass slows to 384 Kbps or 1 Mbps until the next day. It is never cut off. How daily passes work
Top-ups
Add data to the same eSIM later, with no new QR code. A Daily Unlimited pass is bought for its full number of days and cannot be extended.
Buying ahead
Install any time within 180 days of purchase. For most plans the days start counting on the first connection at the destination, not at checkout.
Calls and SMS
Data only, with no phone number. Call over a messenger; a service that verifies you by SMS cannot reach this eSIM.

Europe (33 countries): the EU, the UK and Switzerland on one allowance

This plan covers the 27 states of the EU and the six places travellers add to them: the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Gibraltar. That is the Europe most trips are made of, and it includes the two borders where a SIM from the EU stops being at home — the Channel and the Swiss frontier. Crossing a border changes nothing you have to do: the phone finds a partner network within a minute or two, and the same allowance keeps counting down.

What it leaves out is the east and the edges. Turkey, Serbia, Ukraine and North Macedonia are not on this plan — the larger Europe plan is the one to look at for them — and neither are Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia, Andorra and Monaco. Check the countries below before a drive through the Balkans or a detour to Andorra.

One thing is unusual: this plan's traffic comes out in the United States, as the table above shows. Websites take you for a visitor from America — prices in dollars, the American catalogue on a streaming service, an extra confirmation from a European banking app — and a national broadcaster's player that works only in its own country will not play. Nothing breaks, but it is better known before it surprises you. The plan is prepaid and carries data only.

Which plan for which trip

Messengers and maps are light. Video, calls and a laptop on a hotspot are what use data up.

How to install it

  1. 01

    Check your phone

It has to take an eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. Does your phone support eSIM?

  2. 02

    Scan the QR code

After payment the QR code is on your order page. Scan it in the phone's settings — at home, over Wi-Fi.

  3. 03

Switch it on when you land

Turn on data roaming for the esimker line. It finds the network by itself.

Frequently asked questions

› Does it work in the UK and Switzerland?

Yes. Both are covered, with Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar and every EU country.

› Does it work in Turkey or Serbia?

No. They are not on this plan. Choose the larger Europe plan if the route includes them, and check its list for the Balkans.

› Why do websites think I am in the United States?

This plan's traffic reaches the internet through the US. The connection in Europe is unaffected; only what sites assume about your location changes.
