eSIM Turkey: what you get

Where your traffic comes out
France or Netherlands, depending on the plan. Websites see you there, wherever you actually are; streaming catalogues and apps that check your location go by that address.
After the daily allowance
A Daily Unlimited pass slows to 512 Kbps or 1 Mbps until the next day. It is never cut off. How daily passes work
Top-ups
Add data to the same eSIM later, with no new QR code. A Daily Unlimited pass is bought for its full number of days and cannot be extended.
Buying ahead
Install any time within 180 days of purchase. For most plans the days start counting on the first connection at the destination, not at checkout.
Calls and SMS
Data only, with no phone number. Call over a messenger; a service that verifies you by SMS cannot reach this eSIM.

Turkey: what to know before you land

A phone brought into Turkey and used with a Turkish SIM has to be registered with the authorities: after 120 days an unregistered handset is cut off from Turkish networks, and the registration fee is 54,258 lira in 2026 — more than many phones cost. The rule is about phones on a local subscription. A roaming eSIM is a foreign line that visits Turkish networks, so nothing is registered and nothing is blocked; for a trip of any length it is the option with no paperwork.

5G went live across Turkey on 1 April 2026 on all three operators, starting in the provincial centres; outside them you are on 4G, which reaches nearly everywhere a visitor goes. Turkey blocks or slows some services from time to time — social networks during political events, and a few platforms outright. Your traffic does not leave through Turkey (the table above says where), so those blocks mostly do not reach you.

The eSIM carries data only. There is no Turkish number: taxis, hotels and friends are reached over WhatsApp or Telegram, and a service that insists on texting a code will not reach this line.

Which plan for which trip

Messengers and maps are light. Video, calls and a laptop on a hotspot are what use data up.

How to install it

  1. 01

    Check your phone

It has to take an eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. Does your phone support eSIM?

  2. 02

    Scan the QR code

After payment the QR code is on your order page. Scan it in the phone's settings — at home, over Wi-Fi.

  3. 03

Switch it on when you land

Turn on data roaming for the esimker line. It finds the network by itself.

Frequently asked questions

› Do I have to register my phone in Turkey with this eSIM?

No. Registration applies to phones used with a Turkish SIM for more than 120 days. A roaming eSIM is not a Turkish SIM.

› Is there 5G in Turkey?

Yes, since April 2026, in city centres first. Your phone uses it where the network and the plan allow, and 4G elsewhere.

› Will blocked sites open?

Usually. The eSIM's traffic comes out in another country, so a block applied on Turkish networks does not apply to it. A nationwide slowdown of mobile data would still be felt.
