Where your traffic comes out
United Kingdom. Websites see you there, not in the country you are visiting; streaming catalogues and apps that check your location go by that address.
After the daily allowance
A Daily Unlimited pass slows to 384 Kbps, 512 Kbps, or 1 Mbps until the next day. It is never cut off. How daily passes work
Top-ups
Add data to the same eSIM later, with no new QR code. A Daily Unlimited pass is bought for its full number of days and cannot be extended.
Buying ahead
Install any time within 180 days of purchase. For most plans the days start counting on the first connection at the destination, not at checkout.
Calls and SMS
Data only, with no phone number. Call over a messenger; a service that verifies you by SMS cannot reach this eSIM.

Georgia: the cities, the mountains and the gaps between

Georgia is small and its mobile networks are good: 4G in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi, along the main highway between them and in the wine country of Kakheti. The country's draw is its mountains, though, and that is where coverage thins. In Mestia, Stepantsminda and Gudauri the villages are covered and the trails above them are not; Magti reaches furthest up the valleys. Tusheti and the high passes should be planned as offline. The table above lists the networks this eSIM uses.

A local SIM is cheap here — roughly 10 to 30 lari for a month — and is registered to your passport at the operator's shop. A roaming eSIM is the one you already have working when the plane lands at night and the shops are closed, and it needs no document.

The plan covers Georgia as its networks cover it. Abkhazia and South Ossetia are served by other operators, and you should not count on this eSIM there. It carries data only, with no Georgian number: Bolt and Yandex Go take a foreign number, and guesthouses answer on WhatsApp.

Which plan for which trip

Messengers and maps are light. Video, calls and a laptop on a hotspot are what use data up.

How to install it

  1. 01

    Check your phone

It has to take an eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. Does your phone support eSIM?

  2. 02

    Scan the QR code

After payment the QR code is on your order page. Scan it in the phone's settings — at home, over Wi-Fi.

  3. 03

Switch it on when you land

Turn on data roaming for the esimker line. It finds the network by itself.

Frequently asked questions

› Does it work in Svaneti and Kazbegi?

In Mestia, Ushguli's lower village, Stepantsminda and Gudauri, yes. On the hiking trails and passes the signal comes and goes, so download maps first.

› Is a local SIM cheaper?

Usually, for a long stay. It needs your passport and a visit to a shop; the eSIM works from the moment you land.

› Does it work in Abkhazia or South Ossetia?

Do not count on it. Georgian networks do not serve those regions, and this plan is for the territory they do cover.
